National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR) was founded in 1890 and is headquartered in Washington, D.C. NSDAR is a non-profit and non-political volunteer women’s service organization focusing on patriotism, preserving American history, and education.

Across 3,000 chapters in the United States and internationally NSDAR’s more than 185,000 members come from diverse backgrounds, bring many talents, and a variety of interests.
