During the early 1920s, Mary Kerr Spenser, North Carolina State Regent, requested the formation of an additional chapter in Winston-Salem. Susie Barbour Jones became the organizing regent of the Old North State Chapter NSDAR in 1922. The new chapter’s organizational meeting was held January 18, 1924, with 37 charter members.
We invite and welcome you to attend any of the Old North State Chapter NSDAR meetings or events, meet our Daughters, and explore what we do. Monthly meetings include a social period, a business session, and a program with a notable speaker.
Meetings are on the second Thursday monthly from September through May (there are no meetings in June, July or August). To learn more about any of our chapter events or if you are interested in joining us for a meeting, please contact our chapter representative for additional information.
